Planet Blue is a brand new band of experienced musicians. It offers the listener a surprising and unique combination of pop, jazz, folk and classical music in a purely acoustic environment.
The debut album and their current theatre programma by this Dutch based band is called Seasons. Gripping songs based on poetic lyrics and instrumental compositions with southern flavour and a jazzy ‘colour’ are the main elements of this characteristic lbum. The seasons are the albums theme, the freshness of spring, the generosity of the luscious summer, the restless meandering of the fall and the quiet reflection of winter are expressed in thirteen original compositions by the bands singer Margo van Bergen.
Almost all members are classically trained musicians and have plenty of performing experience in countless orchestras and bands. This mostly explains the exquisite versatilty on their instruments, but also the seemingly effortless way they cross borders amongst the genres into their own unique style.
